Dual CIP Alpha is a liquid CIP additive used in conjunction with Diversey’s ’Beta’ acids to generate the powerful ’Dual CIP’ cleaning and disinfecting system for use in the food and beverage industries.

• Dual CIP Alpha is an innovative formulation containing a blend of organic acid and surfactant. Used in conjuction with Diversey’s ’Beta’ acids, it produces a powerful disinfectant action that is effective against most types of micro-organisms including bacteria, yeasts and fungi. • Dual CIP Alpha is used as part of the ’Dual CIP’ system for the single-stage recovery cleaning of cellar vessels and pipelines in the brewing industry. It can be applied with any of Diversey’s ’Beta’ acidic detergents to provide superior cleaning, descaling and disinfecting performance at low temperatures (4°C) and under CO2 pressure. This system is not only effective against spoilage organisms but eliminates the need to flush with air, reducing the risk of oxygen absorption in beer and so improving quality and shelf life. It also eliminates the need to vent vessels, reducing overall cleaning times compared with conventional 2-stage treatments using caustic and a terminal disinfectant. • Dual CIP Alpha is dosed proportionally with the relevant acidic detergent.

Use Dual CIP Alpha by adding to water in the CIP tank at a concentration of 0.25% w/ w (0.23% v/v) in combination with the relevant acid detergent or descaling acid to achieve a pH below 2, so generating the ’Dual CIP’ system. For further details, please refer to individual method cards.
